Mowelfund or the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation is an organization founded in 1974. Their desire is to aid those who work in the motion picture industry. They also wanted to help the industry as a whole by providing workshops and helping in the documentation of the history of Philippine cinema.
Mowelfund is truly an astounding and fascinating museum. Although I wasn't able to come to our tour with my blockmates last September 27 due to some unexpected conflicts, I still find it very interesting, exciting, and you'll surely enjoy there and learn a lot about the past of Philippine cinema especially the journey of how far the Philippine cinema has come as I search about it and saw pictures of it from my blockmates.

I totally regret not being able to come and witness the past through my naked eye. *sigh* First, because I knew I would learn a lot and it is really another thing to have a glimpse in the past by being there. And second, I already paid for my ticket. So yeah, it wasn't really my intention not to come. :(
But the good news is, Mowelfund is still there and those who have not yet visited can still have the chance to step in and witness the journey of Philippine cinema. So let's all have some time visiting it and have a glimpse in the past for us to appreciate it more and who knows, it might inspire us to get involved in filming.
